couple years back, our tiny little team tried to build a market place product from scratch including development of front-end, back-end, build system, deployment and testing etc. It took so long that the product idea didn’t seem so interesting anymore at the end. From your article I finally fully learned that speed really matters. Overcoming engineer’s ego and urge to expand and optimize at the early stages is crucial to product development.
